WALL COVERINGS:

DESIGNER NOTES:

Before purchasing, confirm all furniture dimensions, clearances, and access points to ensure each piece works comfortably within your space.

WALL TREATMENT:

Parisian Atelier is about creating an elegant architectural backdrop with subtle drama. Choose one of the recommended paint colors in a high-gloss finish to give the walls a soft, sophisticated appearance.

For added depth, use one of the recommended wallcoverings as a feature wall behind the bed. For a more unexpected designer approach, keep the walls painted and carry the wallcovering onto the ceiling, creating a dramatic detail that draws the eye upward. If your room has existing molding or architectural trim, allow those details to remain visible and become part of the design.

FURNITURE PLACEMENT:

Create a refined conversational arrangement rather than placing every piece against the walls. Parisian interiors feel collected and effortless, so allow furniture to float within the room and give statement pieces enough breathing room to be appreciated.

RUG SCALE:

Choose a generously sized rug that grounds the primary furniture arrangement. Ideally, the front legs of the main seating pieces should rest on the rug, visually connecting the furniture while maintaining the room’s sense of openness.

LIGHTING:

Treat the chandelier as the jewelry of the room. Center it over the primary furniture arrangement rather than simply centering it within the space. Layer additional decorative lighting to create warmth and highlight art, architectural details, and sculptural furnishings.

ART + ACCESSORIES:

Mix contemporary art and sculptural objects with more classic architectural surroundings. Keep accessories edited and intentional—books, ceramics, objects, and art should feel collected over time rather than purchased as a matching set.

DESIGNER TIP:

Think Parisian contrast. The beauty of this room comes from pairing classic architectural elements with modern furniture, contemporary art, and unexpected forms. Don’t try to make everything match—the tension between old and new, ornate and minimal, refined and sculptural is what gives Parisian Atelier its character.

BEFORE YOU ORDER:

Measure doorways, elevators, stairways, hallways, and room dimensions before purchasing larger pieces. Always review individual retailer specifications, lead times, delivery requirements, and return policies before placing your order.
